Training Methodology

An experiential workshop that is highly participatory and interactive for maximum learning effectiveness.  Individuals will have at least 5 -15 minutes of presentation to uncover their strengths and areas of improvement via observation tools and peer/facilitator feedback.

 

The debrief includes sharing on content ("What do you say?") and delivery skills ("How do you say it?") that identifies the strengths and weaknesses of each presentation and suggests options for improvements.

1.  Presentation overview and context

  • The role of presentation for audience and business
  • The impact of presentation to the outcomes
  • The characteristics, positive habits and behaviors of an effective presente

 

2. The journey of planning and preparing a presentation

  • Find the purpose of presentation for you and your audience
  • Know your audience types, needs, attitudes and styles
  • Gather information that are relevant to key stakeholders’ interests
  • Prepare the structure of your presentation – opening, body, closing
  • Develop and customize content and messages that address the needs of your audience and the purpose of presenter
  • Reinforce your presentation with supporting materials

 

3. Developing presentation effectiveness to keep audience’s interests, engagement and participation

  • Use eye contact to build confidence
  • Apply gestures and postures to enhance your message
  • Use your Audio-Visual Aids to enhance your message
  • Deliver the message – voice, vocal, verbal to influence for greater conviction
  • Rehearse to overcome tension and anxiety

 

4. Applying strategies and techniques for managing disruptions, interruptions and difficult questions from the audience

  • Use questions to identify objections
  • Handle questions from the audience
  • Deal with difficult situations
  • Build rapport with the audience
  • Motivate, influence and inspire the audience
